Public Policy Economist (AI Training)

About the Role

We're looking for experienced economists with a public policy background to help shape how AI understands and reasons about economics. Your expertise will directly influence the quality, accuracy, and rigor of AI-generated policy analysis - work that matters at a global scale.

What You'll Do

Review and evaluate AI-generated economics content focused on public policy, regulation, and welfare
Assess the quality of economic reasoning, methodology, and conclusions in AI outputs
Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve clarity, analytical rigor, and real-world applicability
Validate policy scenarios, economic tradeoffs, and applied economics arguments for accuracy
Work independently and asynchronously - on your schedule, at your pace

Who You Are

3+ years of experience in public policy, applied economics, or economics education
Strong command of policy analysis, welfare economics, and regulatory frameworks
Able to critically assess written economic arguments and recommendations
Clear and articulate written communicator - comfortable providing detailed feedback
Self-directed and reliable in a remote, asynchronous work environment

Nice to Have

Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
Background in government, think tanks, NGOs, or policy research organizations
Familiarity with AI tools or content evaluation workflows
